What is CoCoMo - and what is it good for?
The few advanced MobilityCard solutions and the knowledge about the organisation of such services is not widespread. In addition, within public transport the number of different technologies (from manual bookings to electronic chip cards) and the marketing approaches (definition of target groups and communicational approach) covers a broad range, which makes integration rather difficult.
Therefore, we will propose the Coordinated Implementation of Combined Mobility Cards - called CoCoMo - as a project to the EU.
Within the project CoCoMo a network for the implementation of MobilityCards will be realised. Information shall be exchanged and MobilityCards be established in the participating regions and cities.
The project consists of three aspects:
- Knowledge Exchange: Foundation of a European network of those regions where MobilityCards are or should become available will be setup as a basis for international information exchange
- Local Implementation: Development, implementation and promotion of local MobilityCards
- The European Perspective: The main focus will be on the implementation of an international “standard for access and data exchange” for enabling customers to use their ticket in any of the other participating cities
